🏠 Household term
Suction power
How strongly a vacuum pulls in dirt, often listed in pascals (Pa) for robot vacuums. Higher suction helps on carpets and with pet hair.
Why it matters
Suction affects how well a robot vacuum lifts fine dust and pet hair, especially from rugs and tile gaps.
🇸🇬 In Singapore
Dust builds up quickly in Singapore homes with windows open, and many HDB flats and condos have tiled floors where robot vacuums work well. Higher suction helps with fine dust, pet hair and gaps between tiles.
Tips before you buy
- Treat headline numbers as a rough guide.
- Look at brush design as well as suction.
- Read independent reviews where possible.
